1. What exactly is an “erogenous zone?”

            Traditionally, the expression refers to the breasts, genitals, buttocks, anus, and mouth.Taber’s Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary defines it as an “area of the body that may produce erotic desires when stimulated.” It notes that this can also include “the special senses that cause sexual excitement,” such as smell.
            Although this definition sounds precise, it is actually pretty vague. This is appropriate, because virtually every square inch of the body can be involved in sexual arousal.
